Dr. Syed P. Ashraf is a board-certified internist with more than 25 years of experience providing comprehensive, patient-centered care. He specializes in Internal Medicine and Primary Care, with a strong focus on preventive medicine, cardiovascular risk reduction, and the medical management of complex and hospitalized patients.
Dr. Ashraf serves as a Senior Partner at Atrium Medical Group, Inc. and is actively affiliated with Hillcrest Hospital of the Cleveland Clinic system, where he previously served as Chief of Staff. He has held multiple leadership roles, including Chair of the Bylaws Committee and membership on the Bylaws and Credentialing Committees, reflecting his longstanding commitment to clinical excellence and physician governance.
In addition to outpatient primary care, Dr. Ashraf practices hospital medicine and peri‑operative medical consultation. He is the Medical Director at Highland Pointe Skilled Nursing Facility and serves as an attending physician at Hillcrest Hospital, Mentor Hospital, Euclid Hospital, and the Cleveland Clinic Rehabilitation Hospital.
Dr. Ashraf is also deeply committed to medical education. He is a Clinical Instructor at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where he teaches and mentors medical residents, medical students, and APP students.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine with recertifications in 2008 and 2018.
Dr. Ashraf completed his Internal Medicine residency at Mt. Sinai Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio. He received his medical degree (M.B.,B.S.) from Patna Medical College & Hospital and completed extensive postgraduate clinical training in internal medicine and general surgery prior to his residency in the United States.
