Dr. Harbhajan Parmar is a board-certified internist who provides comprehensive, patient-centered primary care with a strong focus on preventive medicine, chronic disease management, and long-term wellness. Known for his approachable and thoughtful clinical style, he offers personalized care designed to support each patient’s health goals.
Dr. Parmar is a Partner at Atrium Medical Group and is actively affiliated with Lake West Hospital of the University Hospitals system, where he participates in both inpatient and outpatient medical care. He also serves as Medical Director at HomeStead and Grand River, Skilled Nursing Facilities, overseeing clinical standards, supporting rehabilitation and long-term care, and ensuring high-quality post‑acute medical management.
In addition to his outpatient practice, Dr. Parmar is deeply committed to medical education. He precepts medical students, providing hands-on clinical teaching and mentorship to the next generation of physicians.
He is certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine and brings a wide-ranging medical background, having an initial training in general surgery prior to his U.S. internal medicine residency.
Dr. Parmar completed his Internal Medicine residency at Huron Hospital (Cleveland Clinic Health System) from 2001–2004. He previously did a General Surgery residency from July 1996 to February 1998 after earning his medical degree from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Medical College & Hospital in 1996.
